Pastor Gregg and his wife Joyce have been pastoring CityReach Charleroi since 2011. Prior to being installed as Pastor and Wife team, they served in many capacities. This includes, youth ministry, worship team, children ministries and outreach. With a heart of compassion, both Gregg and Joyce have spent many hours reaching out to those in the community. They both feel that the Church is not confined between the walls of the building, but it is everywhere we as Christians go.
They have committed their life to serving Christ and the community in which they minister and reside. And the community has responded well to being loved by CityReach Charleroi. It is quite common to see them walking the streets building relationships with neighbors. Their heart for the youth shows as well. It is more than likely, when you see them, you will see young children or teenagers in their presence. They truly believe in what Jesus taught, to “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
Beside Pastoring and working with the youth, Gregg and Joyce also ministers to men and women who have been abused, bullied, or who suffer from Anxiety. They use their own experiences to reach those who have been affected in these areas. Their own daughter at the age of 14 committed suicide due to being bullied and suffering from anxiety. Instead of getting mad and demanding justice, they have decided to Forgive and love. They have made it their priority to stand with others who are going through the same. They have started the #chooselove movement which shows love to those who are going through a crisis. It also reinforces a positive attitude in people’s lives.
